As you know, I’m pretty much a rookie when it comes to paid blogging. I’ve been a blogger for nearly three years, but my foray into the world of paid blogging began just a few weeks back, right after I signed up for PayPerPost. But since I’m a newbie, my steps have been quite wobbly, and I’m not always sure if I’m doing this right.
Enter IZEA’s latest brain child: SocialSpark. IZEA is the parent company behind the ever popular PayPerPost, and it’s different in the sense that …

As you know, I’m always on the lookout for valid writing opportunities online. As long as it’s related to writing and I can make money from it, I’m there. That said, I keep posting about writing opportunities that have actually paid me. These are companies I’ve actually worked for, because I’m not quite willing to vouch for companies I don’t know.
Obviously I can’t write for every academic writing, content writing or paid blogging company out there. This limits the opportunities I can talk about here. …

[I've received a few complaints in the comments section from disgruntled writers of Essaywriters.Net.  I just want to clarify that this is only based on my experience and that I do not discredit the claims of the complainants.  Anyway, this really isn't a complete endorsement of Essaywriters.net, especially since I no longer work for them and have since transferred to the reliable Custompapers.Com.]
I promised here that I will inform you immediately once I confirm that Essaywriters.Net actually pays. If you conduct a brief Google search of the company, you’ll see …

Keep writing.
At first, I was starting to lose faith in this website. Few people were visiting, it hardly has any comments and I’m not exactly shocking readers through the roof. It’s been less than two months, yet my lack of patience is rearing its head and starting to feed my paranoia.
What if my site is doomed to fail, and I never make it as a pro-blogger? What if I’m just not cut out for this SEO thing?
Yesterday, though, I got a pretty good shot in the arm …

I’d be a liar if I said I spent all my time working and writing just for the fun of it.
Writing is fun, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that money’s a pretty good motivator, too, and it’s the primary reason I’m up this early and getting ready for work (*cue theme: “She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer*). Of course I love writing, and would probably keep writing even if it meant zero bucks. To be able to write and earn at the same …

Just like in the real world, giving away free stuff can be a pretty good motivator to make people sit up and listen. Freebies, prizes and rewards never fail, be it online or offline. There’s something about human beings that makes us light up whenever the word “free” comes around.
That said, a contest is a very good way to get more traffic to your site. Just ask The Net Fool, host of this month’s biggest online contest. He’s giving away cash and online freebies; can you …

As I mentioned here, I was initially apprehensive about the paid blogging business. Writing is my only talent, so to get paid to write about products/software/websites that I would normally not write about seemed a bit like selling out. To me, it seemed a little like quackery, and I’m rarely up for such a dubious challenge

It turns out, though, that most of my fears about the paid blogging business were based on misconceptions. I thought that paid blogging meant I would always have to write glowingly about …

I’m not the most PC writer in the world, obviously.
I have this penchant for using the word “retard” to describe my enemies, random stupid people and even myself whenever I make some bone-headed move. I have nothing against people who are “mentally-challenged” (the PC alternative, if I remember correctly); I just use the term “retard” at its barest: underdeveloped mental capacity. It’s a fancy way of saying stupid or dumb or some other synonym. It’s not an attempt to disparage or offend anyone; it’s just a linguistic …

Yes, you read that right. Don’t write like a pro.
More importantly, there’s really no such thing as a pro. Get that eyebrow down and read what I’m about to say carefully. Yes, there are professional writers. Yes, they have great writing style, hence their successful writing careers. But here’s the catch: you don’t have to learn to write like them to succeed.
In fact, you probably can’t.

If there’s something any writer worth his salt should know, it’s that without readers, you’re pretty much screwed. It’s doubly difficult for bloggers, given the massive amount of aspiring writers they have to compete with online. Face it: unless the fickle readers of cyberspace deem your blog worthy of their time, a successful online writing career is never going to happen.
It comes as no surprise, therefore, that bloggers are resorting to a tactic that has kept tabloids, reality shows and Paris Hilton’s career afloat to this day. …
