You can call this shameless plugging, but I suppose I could at least use the small influence *ahem* this blog has over you loyal friends to introduce my friend and fellow blogger, Chorva.
Chorva is the webmistress of the up and coming entertainment blog, Chorva!, and though her content caters mostly to Philippine audiences, she does have pretty good things to offer when it comes to international music and film. These days, one of my biggest freelance writing projects is content writing. It started out with rewriting, actually, then I realized that a lot more money could be made if I actually wrote and sold my original articles. With rewriting, the writer can easily be persuaded to accept a lot less, particularly when the client sells you the “it’s just rearranging words” shtick.
Note to readers: don’t fall for it.

As I mentioned sometime ago, I’m a big fan of WaiterRant.Net, the blog that launched a thousand eyebrows with its sometimes too painfully honest depiction of the restaurant business. Despite the “rant” in the title, the blog doesn’t devolve into some “I will either slash your neck or my wrists” sort of emo thing. It’s funny, truthful and always entertaining.

I have to admit I’m a fan.

Rarely do we find great writers online. Sure, blogs are a dime a dozen, but it’s pretty difficult to find something that really makes your day with every post. With no pressing deadlines at the office, I usually spend most of my time reading the fabulously cynical WaiterRant.Net — blog of the most philosophical and humorously engaging waiter you will ever meet.
