Click-Based Ads are so Last Season

Can you imagine me rolling my eyes as I say this post’s title?
Sure you can.
It sounds funny, I know, since most bloggers only know one way of earning through advertisements: the earnings-per-click model. Back when I was a newbie, I ran through the entire range of programs offering money in exchange for ads displayed on my websites. Unfortunately, each time I checked these programs to see my earnings, I would find a little over two cents at the most.

These days, one of my biggest freelance writing projects is content writing. It started out with rewriting, actually, then I realized that a lot more money could be made if I actually wrote and sold my original articles. With rewriting, the writer can easily be persuaded to accept a lot less, particularly when the client sells you the “it’s just rearranging words” shtick.
Note to readers: don’t fall for it.

I love blogging.

As you can see in my personal blog, blogging is my satori. It’s my catharsis. I rant, I rave, I froth at the mouth. I dance around in my underwear — figuratively speaking, that is. It’s my heart and soul on a platter, served up to anyone who would be so kind as to read.
