Work Smart, Not Hard: A Look at Affiliate Marketing

If there’s one philosophy I seriously live by, it’s to “work smart, not hard”.
Often times, and I see this all the time in my office, we associate diligence and hard work with long hours at the office, slaving away in front of the computer. I’m sure you’ve come across officemates who practically spend their lives within the confines of their cubicle. More often than not, they’ve been praised for their “sacrifices”.
In reality, however, tying yourself to your job and working non-stop isn’t quite as noble at it seems. Yes, I understand that emergencies come up and there are times when extra work lands on your desk. Apart from such scenarios, however, a lot of the overtime work people put in really just reflect their inability to handle time management.
Working too hard isn’t a good work ethic. Working overtime takes away precious rest time from you, and it eats up a lot of the company’s resources. Both sides lose. Make a schedule, learn to delegate, anticipate emergencies: work smart.
The same thing goes for affiliate marketing.
A lot of pro-bloggers are focused on earning from paid-to-blog companies. It takes a lot of time and effort, though, to come up with a post that won’t deviate too much from your blog’s main topic and still promote your client’s product. I don’t think I have to tell you how frustrating and time-consuming that can sometimes be.
Advertisements are just as problematic, since you’re not sure how to find companies willing to buy ad space from your blog. Unless you’ve been doing this for years, approaching advertisers can be quite difficult.
Now here comes affiliate marketing. In a nutshell, affiliate marketing lets you earn from commissions and revenue sharing (depending on the terms of your deal) whenever you get new buyers or users to sign-up. I’ve been earning quite a bit from PayPerPost, for example, and all I had to do was put an affiliate banner in the Jobs section and the “Review My Post” bar in every post.
That’s all you have to do. Seriously.
Of course you’ll have to promote some products a bit more, depending on what you think is the best approach to get people to purchase or sign-up. You can blog about it, put advertisements, offer stuff — the list goes on. A lot of successful bloggers, for example, have contests sponsored by companies they are affiliated with.
Now how do you find companies that need affiliates? That’s where PepperJamNetwork comes in. Once you sign up with this company, you get access to all the affiliate programs that are listed with it. This means you don’t have to go around the net scouring the best affiliate programs. Just enter PepperJamNetwork and pick the affiliate that is most suited to your blog’s niche. Plus you can compare their payment offers and see which ones can be most lucrative for you.
A special offer for everyone interested in affiliate marketing. PepperJamNetwork is offering a $10 sign-up bonus. Just join PepperJamNetwork, get yourself approved for at least one affiliate program and that’s it. I’ve actually received $10, so have no worries.
It’s a pretty good way to earn without breaking your back, so you might as well check it out. Plus you get $10 in the process.
