Paypal Transfer to BPI Works!

26 April 2008 7 Comments

Yes, it works.

One of the biggest worries I had when I started out with Paypal was that this faceless entity would find some way to swallow my meager earnings. It’s stupid and unfounded and unnecessarily paranoid. Trust me, I know. But for someone raised to never trust even the most reliable of banks, a foreign web …erm… thing doesn’t seem like the most believable way to handle the product of my sweat and tears.

I signed up with Paypal because I didn’t have better options. In case you’re wondering, my account is a few months old. I had to complete the registration with Paypal because my client was in a rush trying to send me payment (I know, how often does that happen?). So, Paypal it is.

Despite my misgivings, I did find checking my Paypal account tremendously enjoyable. It’s fun counting money, even if its just a small amount and you’re not actually counting cold hard cash. Soon though, impatience got the better of me and I decided to *ahem* “move” the money.

So, I used around 20 dollars for a special edition They Kiss Again soundtrack CD+DVD combo from YesAsia, and the rest was sent to my BPI account. According to Paypal, the money should be in my BPI account in 5-7 working days.

On the sixth day of waiting, I checked my BPI account and the money was there.

There’s a slight discrepancy of course, due to the charges and conversion rates and whatnot. Not a big deal for me, as long as the money arrives safely in my bank account.

Now I’m no longer worried about transferring my earnings from Paypal to BPI. I just need to make sure that I have enough money left in my Paypal account after a bout of online shopping.

XOXO,

Paypal and BPI now works? I though the only Paypal connection to bank here in the Philippines is Union Bank. At to have an account in Union Bank, the initial deposit is a hefty PHP10,000!

If you have time, do visit my site. It’s http://www.chanos2.com Thanks! Hope to hear from you soon!

It actually works now. I think it started a few months back. Paypal now allows you to transfer to any bank of your choice (peso account only).

    Hello,

I have a debit card at Unionbank, but i am pissed off with the service of Unionbank. All the while i taught, everything will go on smoothly, but up to this time, the transfer of my funds from Paypal was hold, to think that I was already verified form Paypal. I do not know where the problem is. If I transfer to BPI, is there an assurance that I will not experienced the same thing.
