Good Things Happen to Those Who Socialize

Keep writing.

At first, I was starting to lose faith in this website. Few people were visiting, it hardly has any comments and I’m not exactly shocking readers through the roof. It’s been less than two months, yet my lack of patience is rearing its head and starting to feed my paranoia.

What if my site is doomed to fail, and I never make it as a pro-blogger? What if I’m just not cut out for this SEO thing?

Yesterday, though, I got a pretty good shot in the arm that revived my faith. I’m moving up the Google ladder!

I’m still a PR0 if you ask Google Page Rank, but my IZEA Rank’s moving up a bit. And, if you search the words “miss write” in Google, you’ll find my website in the third spot of the second page! That’s a huge jump from page 200 or something a few weeks ago, and forgive me if I sound so desperate, but it was cause for celebration.

Apparently, all my hard work in joining forums, making new friends and commenting on other relevant sites has somehow paid off. Interestingly, you can also find links to me on the first page of the Google search results for “miss write”, through BlogCatalog. My posts on Digg also show up on the search results, increasing the probability of some random reader finding me.

I know it’s just the beginning, and I’m still far from becoming an actual pro-blogger. It’s just that yesterday’s findings revived my faith and inspired me to continue. My advice: be strong, stay the course and find like-minded friends. It’ll be good — both for you and your website.

XOXO,
